DOGE should have a charter and it should be made public. Here is my suggestion:
Charter of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
Any and all expenditures of the United States Government are available for reduction or elimination except the following:
1. Valid Social Security payments to U.S. citizens will not be reduced.
2. Valid Medicare payments to U.S. citizens will not be reduced.
3. Legitimate benefits to all current or previous U.S. military personnel will not be reduced or eliminated.
I have not included Medicaid nor unemployment benefits, as I believe these should be the responsibility of the states.

P.S. I would love to volunteer, but at 84, I probably couldn't work 80+ hours per week anymore. I used to though.
