How do we track buyer signals across sales teams?
#1
We have three B2B software products, each with its own sales team, and we’re realizing that a lot of useful buyer activity never makes it into our normal sales data. Prospects ask for recommendations on Reddit, complain about competitors on LinkedIn, or discuss problems we solve on other platforms, but every team finds and judges those conversations differently. One group saves links in Slack, another has reps checking manually, and the third barely looks at social at all. We need a consistent way to spot these signals across products, work out which conversations actually show a current need, and give each team the opportunities relevant to what they sell. How are larger sales organizations handling this without turning it into another manual research job?

The main thing is getting all those conversations into one place and judging them by the same basic criteria before they reach sales. Look at how recent the post is, whether the company fits one of your products, what problem they're actually describing, and whether there's a clear reason for someone to respond now. Once that filtering happens centrally, each team can focus on the conversations that match what they sell instead of having reps dig through different sources on their own.

The harder part at that scale is separating casual discussion from conversations where someone is actually showing a current need. That becomes much easier when the research happens continuously and the strongest opportunities are filtered before sales ever sees them. You can take a look at an enterprise sales intelligence solution here: https://revenuescout.ai/ . It can surface relevant public conversations and rank the strongest opportunities based on signals such as buying intent and offer fit. That gives each team a cleaner stream of relevant opportunities instead of having reps search and qualify every conversation themselves.
